New week, new interesting models to talk about!
Not much popped up in the high dollar range this week. However, most notably there was this absolutely stunning glossy Chevaliere was the Manager's Model for Breyer events in 2023 and only 14 were glossed. The sunburnt black is my favorite color variation from that year and wow does she look nice in gloss! No surprise to see her hit $4000, if anything it's lower than I might have guessed. Originally there were only 3 glossed volunteer models and only one of the managers typically sold theirs so you could pretty much consider them non-existent. That number has been slowly creeping up as more shows have been added, and more end up for sale so they aren't as rare as they used to be, but 14 is still extremely low.

A mini Bourbon Street was up for offers on Facebook in the Rare Model Sales group and sold for $3000. They are also super rare and almost never for sale, so it's nice to get a value check now and then. Only 21 were made and rare Stablemates are a hot commodity.
Besides expensive things, also becoming a regular feature of the Monday blog is to share with you some cool stuff from my watch list from the past week.
Check this guy out! It doesn't look like this one sold, but I thought he was a really cool variation - this Peppercorn Stock Horse Stallion only has spots on his butt! The typical model has spots all over the body. I was watching him but the listing was ended early so I'm not sure if he sold privately or the seller just took it down. SHS was my first Breyer so he's always been a sentimental favorite for me.

This potentially semi-gloss Clydesdale Family set was neat. It's always good to be skeptical of glossiness in rando eBay photos... hard to know if it's OF, or if a model has been "pledged" (this was popular to do back in the day), or even if it has been freshly washed by the seller and is still wet in the photos. But they looked reasonably legit to me and the color looks right for the era that might have happened.

This is a CAM variation I'm hoping to add to my collection eventually - some of the very earliest Classic Arabian Mares only had two hind socks, as seen in the 1974 catalog. This one had a few more condition issues than I liked but I also have not-a-buyers remorse and maybe I should have bought her, ha.

This FAS is a lesson for vintage collectors to always open the auction and look at all the photos. I usually check everything I think might be chalky but this fellow was a surprise with his nice large sticker! that isn't visible from the main listing page since they didn't show that side, and also isn't mentioned in the title. He ended up not even selling for $9.99, which really is a great price for a nice large sticker even on a palomino FAS, and it meets my personal rule of "if I found this in the wild at an antique shop for this price would I buy it" - but I still sat on my hands to see if someone else was going to snipe him up because I don't "need" him. But nobody did!

Anyway it's also a good reminder for woodgrains because I have found several of my Tenite Sticker woodgrains that way, because some sellers who don't know about Breyers don't mention them or show them prominently in the photos.
And lastly this gorgeous PAM. If you saw my post on halo dapples, I wrote about how rare it is to find them without a lot of paint rubs and fading because they are so fragile. This might be the nicest black point halo dapple PAM I have seen. I see very little wear to the grey paint if any! Really nice one.

In new models - don't forget to enter for Prague today if you're interested in him. I succumbed and renewed my extra two Deluxe CC memberships so I could get the two extra entries (also to ensure four of the SM mustangs so I'll be looking for swaps late in the year whenever they come out, to get the set). Plus I also saw the news that there will be a collector event this year and I always like extra chances for that!! I haven't been drawn to get tickets for one since Chasing The Chesapeake in 2016 (almost 10 years!!!) and I am Big Sad about it. I am hoping this is my year again.
